On 28 February, in London, Mouton Baron Philippe de Rothschild firm, owner of Mouton Cadet, announced the release of America’s Cup Cuvée.
The new wines, a red, white and rosé of Mouton Cadet, were designed in collaboration with Sir Russel Coutts, five-times winner of the race and CEO of America’s Cup Event Authority, whose signature appears on every bottle alongside a glass-etched design depicting the forces of nature on land and at sea.
The new wines will be available at the end of May in stores around the world promoting America’s Cup, such as Harrod’s in London, and will be served during all the official events during the 35th America’s Cup that will take place in Bermuda in May and June 2017.
The white cuvée includes: Sauvignon Blanc (40%), Semillon (54%) and Muscadelle (6%). The rosé is: Merlot (67%), Cabernet Sauvignon (18%) and Cabernet Franc (15 %). The red consists of: Merlot (79%), Cabernet Franc (10%), Cabernet Sauvignon (9%) and Malbec (2%).
Sold in 150 countries, Mouton Cadet is the ‘official wine’ of several exclusive events, including the Cannes International Film Festival, where it has served as the official supplier since 1992, as well as The Ryder Cup, both in Gleneagles (Scotland) in 2014 and recently in Chaska, Minnesota (USA) in September this year.
