Michelin guide buys the Wine Advocate

In 2017, Michelin bought a 40% stake in The Wine Advocate, the wine guide founded by Robert Parker.

Last week, Michelin announced that it now owns 100% of Robert Parker – the Wine Advocate (RPWA).

“The ambition of the new team implies reaffirming its role as the world reference for wine, by extending the geographical reach of RPWA by combining a digital ecosystem combining gastronomy and wine,” explains a Michelin press release.

The newly appointed CEO of RPWA, Nicolas Achard, said: “Leading RPWA’s passionate teams is not only thrilling, but also an incredible opportunity to combine the strengths of the Michelin Guide and The Wine Advocate. People curious about wine and gastronomy will be offered a unique set of experiences thanks to the internationally-recognised know-how and independent, unbiased selections of both companies.”
