Distell focuses on four key brands

Distell, the South African drinks group, announced that it has sold off its Le Bonheur and Stellenzicht estates to focus on four key brands: Nederburg, Fleur du Cap, Alto, and Durbanville Hills.

Speaking to Business Daily, Richard Rushton, managing director, said that “agreements are significantly advanced” over “what (wine) assets we will be left with.”

Distell announced its half-year results last month. Revenue increased by 3.7%, to ZAR 22.3 billion. The spirits portfolio was the standout performer.
