According to a news by AFP, the French wine group Castel has announced to build a new logistics platform of 34.000sqm close to their historical headquarters in Bordeaux. They even consider regrouping all their bottling activities on that site in the two years to come. If that were to happen, the new site would become the world’s largest bottling hub.
The Castel group plans to make a 100 million Euros investment and to hire 70 people. The new platform will increase its stocking capacity from currently 34.000 palettes to 46.000 palette. It will have the capacity to stock more than 30 million bottles, the total size is situated on a 9 hectares terrain.
