Once again, Carolina Wine Brands (CWB) will participate at Vinexpo Bordeaux, this time featuring a wide range of wines from both sides of the Andes crafted by its wineries Santa Carolina, Viña Casablanca and Finca el Origen. You can taste this wines at Hall 1, Stand CD 264.
Santa Carolina, Viña Casablanca and Finca el Origen are the main wineries of Carolina Wine Brands, one of Chile’s leading wine groups, which this year will be exhibiting and promoting their winemaking excellence at Vinexpo Bordeaux 2017.
Specifically, Santa Carolina will demonstrate its winemaking expertise with Cabernet Sauvignons through the latest vintage of Luis Pereira, an icon wine that has earned international recognition, and Dolmen, a 2,500-bottle limited production Cabernet Sauvignon made with grapes from vineyards planted on slate-rich slopes with 50-degree gradient.
Another highlight this year is Cuarteles Experimentales, the new line of experimental wines that are the result of a winemaking research and innovation project, which consists of several varieties, including Semillon from Apalta, Malbec from San Rosendo and Chardonnay from Cauquenes, made with carbonic maceration.
Viña Casablanca (Chile) and Finca el Origen (Argentina) will be promoting their cool-climate wines. Viña Casablanca wines are sourced from vineyards influenced by the closeness of the Pacific Ocean in the namesake valley where cool-climate varieties like Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Syrah, stands out. In turn, Finca el Origen wines are produced from high-altitude vineyards in Mendoza’s Uco valley, where the signature Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignons develop a unique character.
Santiago Larraín, Managing Director of CWB, Andrés Caballero, Winemaker Director of Santa Carolina, and Gonzalo Bertelsen, Chief Winemaker and General Manager of Viña Casablanca and Finca el Origen, will be present in this opportunity in Hall 1, Stand CD 264.
