Taylor’s port honoured by a Royal Warrant

For its 325th anniversary, Taylor’s Port, becomes the second port supplier to gain a Royal Warrant.

Taylor Fladgate has been granted a Royal Warrant of Appointment as a supplier of port wines to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The Royal Warrant is granted as a mark of recognition that the Warrant Holder is a regular supplier to Her Majesty or to her Household.

Nevertheless, the company benefits from the privileges associated with the accolade.

Just after the announcement, Adrian Bridge, Taylor’s managing director declared : “The granting of the Royal Warrant coincided with Taymor’s 325th anniversary and I can think of no better way to mark this important milestone in our company’s long and distinguished history”.

He added: “I would like to congratulate our team on maintaining the standards of excellence which have allowed us to achieve this important recognition”.

Taylor Fladgate was founded in 1692 and has been under family administration throughout its history and bought Lugardas Lages, the first British-owned estate in the Douro, in 1744.
