Maison Louis Jadot has announced its acquisition of Domaine Prieur-Brunet.

This purchase adds 18 hectares of Côte de Beaune vineyards to the negoce house’s portfolio, including premier crus in Santenay, Chassagne Montrachet, Meursault, Volnay, Pommard and Beaune, as well as a parcel of land in grand cru Bâtard-Montrachet.

Louis Jadot said in a statement that it was: ‘committed to ensuring the continuity of the work undertaken by the Prieur family over the last two centuries.’

It’s an important Côte de Beaune acquisition for Jadot, who in 2012 acquired Château de Chorey’s 17 hectares of vineyards focused on the appellations of Beaune, Chorey-les-Beaune and Pernand-Vergelesses.
